Trail at one point was on a four-game losing streak and just didn't look like the team they once were after that fourth straight loss, they didn't lose till the opening round of states. Trail was one of the youngest teams in the district and started 5 freshmen both ways and only started 1 senior. The Lions stunned Old Forge and won the District 2 Class A title and even won a state playoff game. Extremely impressive for a team that didn't have high expectations.
