Chase Taddonio JR QB Riverside
Harry Armstrong and the Vikings continue to produce elite level QBs and Taddonio is no exception. After sitting out Freshmen year with an injury Taddonio dominated as a Sophomore. Taddonio completed 65% of his passes for 2,110 yards and 24 touchdowns and also ran for another 420 yards and 9 touchdowns. Taddonio returns as District 2s leader in passing yards and Tds.
Quenten Palermo SR RB Scranton Prep
After London Montgomery went down with a season ending injury and the Cavaliers were 2-2 at the midway point many people gave up on the Cavs. But Palermo helped guide Prep back on track en route to a district title. Palermo got named the starter just days before week 1 and took that spot and ran with it rushing for 1,133 yards and 13 touchdowns. Palermo returns as the Lackawanna League's leading rusher.
Anchor 1
Josh Vinton JR RB Western Wayne
Vinton was the “2” in the Wildcat's 1-2 punch with Luke Janiszewski last year, but quite frankly could have been a starter in many other programs last season. Vinton was sneakily productive last season averaging 6 yards a carry and rushing for 958 yards and 13 touchdowns. As the new starter, expect Vinton to be one of the district's best backs.
Reese Gaughan SR WR Riverside
We said it last year, and we will say it again when it is all set and done Gaughan will go down as one of the best receivers in district 2 history. The senior wide receiver broke all kinds of records last season including receiving yards in a game (259) and most receptions in a career 173 and counting. Gaughan simply dominated Friday nights, recording 61 receptions for 1,055 yards and 12 touchdowns and also had 3 100-yard games.
Anchor 2
Mason Fedor SR WR Abington Heights
As explosive as they come Fedor can make a highlight play in the blink of an eye and did so many times for the Comets last season. Fedor's size and speed at the receiver position has made him such a threat, and his ability to catch 50/50 balls are second to none. Fedor caught 49 passes for 660 yards and 6 touchdowns last season and with three other receivers graduating he will be even more of a focal point.
Aiden Black SR TE Delaware Valley
The Warrior's football program is rich and embedded with all-time great football players and Black is no exception. The Stanford commit has been the leader of the Warriors program the past couple of seasons and has been arguably the area's best player. Black helped lead Del Val to its seventh straight district title and first ever in 5A. Black caught 28 passes for 404 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Anchor 3
Jacob Albaugh SR T Delaware Valley
Nathan Reuther SR T Dunmore
They don't come to much bigger than 6,5 320 and Albaugh uses all of it all to his advantage. Albaugh style of play has fit perfectly in coach Olsommer offense and has become just a dominant run blocker, helping the Warriors rush for 2,400 yards and 34 touchdowns last season. Albaugh will be the leader of that group upfront, a big reason why the Warriors are projected to be one of the area's best teams.
The Bucks have talent all around the field, but their success will be generated upfront on that big O-Line led by Reuther. Reuther will not only be the leader of that unit upfront, but the team in general. The four year starter is a dominant run blocker who recorded 41 pancakes and helped the Bucks rush for over 2,400 yards.
Jerry Wasilchak SR C Valley View
Anchor 4
The name Wasilchak is very rich in history in the Cougars program and Jerry is continuing the legacy. Wasilchak was just phenomenal all around last season; his size and technique helped produce one of the best run games in the LFC. Wasilchak was the leader of that unit upfront that helped produce both a 1,000 yard back and QB.
Travis Sharples JR G Scranton Prep
Despite some early adversity last season Prep managed to bounce back en route to a District title, and that's largely in part to the job the O-Line did led by Sharples. Sharples excelled as run blocker getting to second level and also doing a great job of pulling when asked. Sharples helped the Cavs rush for over 2,800 yards and also help produced a 1,000 yard passer.
Carter Faubel Jr G Delaware Valley
Faubel if needed can play all 5 positions on the O-Line and has been the foundation of the Warriors success the past 2 seasons. Faubel thrives where DV thrives best and that's running the ball, Faubel has become a dominant run blocker for the Warriors helping produce a 1,000 yard back. Faubel has also held up well in pass protection helping produce a 1,000 yard QB.
Anchor 5
Robbie Nolan SR DE Valley View
The Cougars will once again have one of the best defenses in D2 and thats large in part to their led by Nolan. Nolan really emerged as a dominant run stuffer for the Cougars recording 56 tackles, and also emerged as a solid pass rusher off the edge recording 10 hurries.
Steven Halloran SR DE Valley View
The Cougars had one of the best defenses in the district last season and that's largely due to Halloran play off the edge. Halloran is one of the most underrated players in the district and combination of size and speed makes him a nightmare matchups for opposing tackles. Halloran returns as the Cougars leading tackler and recorded 71 tackles, 9 for a loss and 4 sacks last season.
Javon James SR DT Scranton
The Knights are coming off their most successful season in the past couple of years and that's due to their elite defense that forced the most turnovers in D2 led by James. James was a wrecking ball on that Knights D-Line that marched to the District title and won 8 games and James dominated along the way recording 69 tackles, 15 for a loss and 2.5 Sacks. James returns as the team's second leader tackler and is getting D1 looks.
Anchor 6
Justin Kalitsnik SR LB Delaware Valley
As dominant as they come Justin Kalitsnkik as advertised. The senior LB has just been dominant durig his tenure at Del Val and we expect his senior season to be no different. Kalitsnik is arguably the best defensive player in the district and simply plays at another gear on friday nights. Kalitsnik recorded a District 2 high 143 tackles, 97 solo, 10+ TFL, and averaged 11 tackles a game.
Joey Granko SR LB Old Forge
The Devils had one of the better defenses in the LFC last season and that's due to Granko’s play making ability at Linebacker. Granko will be the leader of the Blue Devils defense that will contend for a district title. Granko expresses good size and speed and those attributes have paid dividends as he recorded 73 tackles, 8 for loss, 1 INT and 2 forced fumbles.
Nick Donvito SR LB Dunmore
The Bucks have long rich history of playmakers on the defensive side of the ball and Donvito is looking no different. The senior LB will be the heart and soul of this Bucks defense that is projected to be one of the best in the division. Donvito can do it all and has shown flashes of being a dominant run stuffer and great coverage skills. Donvito recorded 111 tackles, 18 for a loss, 3 sacks, 4 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.

The last name Machado runs deep in the Warriors program, and they have produced tremendous talent and Ryder is no exception. Machado is the leader of the Warrior's secondary that is one of the best district and absolute dominated from his cornerback position. Machado recorded 96 tackles and was just elite in coverage recording 11 pass deflections and 6 interceptions.
Andrew Summa SR DB Scranton Prep
If you searched up the word ball hawk in the dictionary a picture of Summa would pop up. The senior was one of the most feared defensive player in the district, and is really more of LB than an DB. The Cavilers defense only gave up 16 points a game due to Summa was a tackling machine recording 102 tackles and 6.5 for a loss. Summa returns as district 2 leader inter interceptions with 7.
Billy Maloney SR DB Scranton
Maloney is that rare QB that plays both ways and just excels from his free safety spot. Maloney was one of the leaders on that Knight's defense that forced the most turnovers in District 2 and marched to the district finale. Maloney recorded 65 tackles, 6 interceptions and 11 pass deflections.
Liam Barrett SR DB Scranton Prep
You won’t find another 5’7 DB with the jump ball ability of Barrett. Barrett’s speed and athleticism has made him one of the best corners in the LFC and due to his size teams test him, and end up paying the price. Barrett can line up against receivers on the outside or in the slot and as a result recording 5 interceptions last season.
